Blackheads on the Nose

Of course you want to get rid of blackheads. But did you know that blackheads on the nose are most likely not true blackheads? They are “sebaceous filament” and are supposed to be there…and will never go away.

We can clean them out to manage them, but mark your calendar, they’ll be back next week. Your pores are in a pattern. If you see the black dots in a uniform pattern they are sebaceous filament. If you see a much larger black dot that is in between the uniform black dots, those are blackheads and need to be extracted.
