In honor of National Sunscreen Day, I thought we would talk about the need for sunscreen for acne prone skin. 

Think you don’t need sunscreen? Think again.

UVA rays are the ones that age us. We don’t see or feel them but they can affect us 20 years later. UVA rays cause age spots, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, and laxity in the skin. All great reasons to use sunscreen now. 

When you are dealing with acne and using acne treatment products, that makes you more sensitive to the sun’s rays. This is why it is super important that you use sunscreen every day regardless of how hot it is outside.

Mineral Protection Sunscreen: This is a tinted sunscreen that is great for lighter skin tones. You will need to put a moisturizer on before applying. 

Even when you have oily skin, you need to wear a moisturizer. When you don’t replenish moisture in your skin, your skin makes more oil.
